On Friday, June 23, 2023, the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel hosted the 5th annual Health Environmental Safety & Security (HESS) awards ceremony. FBNBank received the Employee Empowerment Excellence Award.
The goal of the HESS awards is to recognise and honour outstanding businesses for their outstanding work in the fields of occupational health, environment, safety, and security (HESS). The award also aims to encourage the use of best practises in HESS management systems, which follow the “Plan-Do-Check-Act” cycle and represent the traditional model. This year’s awards had the theme “Building a sustainable future of work through Health, Environment, Safety and Security.” FBNBank was among the 11 people and 36 organisations that received awards at this year’s ceremony.
A board of distinguished Ghanaians supervises the awarding procedures.
Nana Awo Ama Sakyibea, Ankobea Hemaa, and Akropong Aboasa gave the Employee Empowerment Excellence Award to FBNBank, and Grace Isaac-Aryee, the bank’s treasurer, Allen Quaye, the head of retail banking, and Enoch Vanderpuye, the country team lead for marketing and corporate communications, accepted it on the bank’s behalf.
