Free coronavirus test for Ghanaian people now

The Ministry of Health has released a statement stating that for Ghanaians, COVID-19 testing is now free.

The Ministry issued a statement on Wednesday, January27,2021, announcing its decision to make publicCOVID-19 testing laboratories that offer free walk-in services only to Ghanaian residents.

The statement explained that testing is free of charge for “all walk-in applications such as ill-health, contact tracing, and exposure must be carried out using public health resources free of charge.”

However, before they get checked, foreigners are eligible to pay a fee.


Currently, Ghana’s total case count stands is 62,751 with a total of 58,561 recoveries and discharges.
