President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has restated his government’s commitment to doing all possible to expand the country’s private sector, which will contribute to economic growth.
He suggested this since the country’s current economic woes necessitate private-sector investment.
President Akufo-Addo stated at the Jubilee House during a meeting with the Group Board Chair of Standard Chartered Bank, José Vinals, that Ghana will always welcome private investment.

“This government is fully committed to doing whatever it can to help the private sector, both domestic and foreign, to work in a competitive environment to enable it to contribute to the growth of the economy. We believe strongly that ultimately the strength of the private sector in Ghana will determine Ghana’s future and prospects,” he stated.
As a result, President Akufo-Addo stated that the services of banks such as Standard Chartered Bank, which assist the private sector in growing, are exactly what the country requires. This is why the country is ecstatic to welcome the bank.
“So, a bank like yours, which has extensive experience around the world in providing products that enable private sector operators to operate, is a bank whose contribution and association we highly value.” “We are delighted to have you on board,” he continued.
