The program is tailor-made to suit industry needs while equipping trainees in the field of maintenance and reliability engineering with relevant sector-specific skills set. The certification is divided into three modules, Maintenance & Reliability Engineering-Essentials, Maintenance Engineering Management and Reliability Engineering.
Each completed module earns participants a certification.
According to Mr Abel Sallah, CEO of IMRE Ghana, establishing this institution is to help make African engineers competent and ready for the market with adequate knowledge in maintenance and reliability.
Speaking to Trenditgh.com on the sideline of the launch of the program, Emmanuel Aidoo an OEM Engineer stated that “I had the singular honour of joining the launch of the Institute of Maintenance and Reliability Engineering (IMRE)!

Presently, the Institute of Maintenance & Reliability Engineering is the premier institution providing training in the field of maintenance and reliability engineering in the country.
The mission of the Institute is to bridge the knowledge gap between traditional tertiary education and industry needs and expectations. Its focus is on equipping prospective engineers and technicians, engineers and technicians, maintenance managers, production managers etc already engaged in employment but would want to advance their knowledge in maintenance and reliability.
