Arsenal are planning a summer transfer for Anderlecht midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga. According to Nieuwsblad, the Gunners see the 21-year-old as a cheaper alternative to Yves Bissouma of Brighton & Hove Albion, who is valued at around £40 million.

Lokonga is of Congolese descent, and his brother, DR Congo international Paul-Jose M’Poku, followed a similar international path before switching to the African country in 2015.

Carlo Ancelotti has opened the door for Gareth Bale to return to the Bernabeu

Ancelotti said on Wednesday, “Gareth hasn’t played much in the Premier League.”

“However, he scored a lot of goals and was very effective in recent games when he was given the opportunity to play.

“He’s coming back, and from what I’ve seen of him, he’ll be motivated to play better and have a fantastic season.”
