On July 6, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), will visit a few police stations in Accra to assess the level of customer service offered.
His plan to improve the Ghana Police Service includes this project.
The Amasaman Divisional Headquarters will be the subject of the IGP’s initial visit.
Members of the Police Management Board will accompany him on his visits to the various stations.
Dr. Dampare will also use this opportunity to see officers who are presently ill at the various stations he visits as part of his mission. This visit is a pro-active measure to evaluate the quality of service delivery and pinpoint areas where police stations need to improve.
The IGP hopes to learn firsthand about the difficulties the officers experience and make sure that required steps are taken to improve their performance by visiting the stations and speaking with the officers there.
The tour to the police stations by Dr. George Akuffo Dampare is in line with his larger goal of modernizing and enhancing the Ghana Police Service. He wants to increase the service’s dedication to professionalism, effectiveness, and public service through these evaluations.
