This summer, Gabri Veiga has been in high demand. The teenage Spanish player caught the attention of Chelsea, Manchester City, and Liverpool. Liverpool are no longer in the running to acquire Celta Vigo’s prized player because they recently signed Dominik Szoboszlai, but he is still drawing attention.
Veiga, a 21-year-old who can also play as a central midfielder, can play as an offensive midfielder. Last season, he made 28 league starts for Celta and had an outstanding first campaign, scoring 11 goals and dishing out four assists.
As they finished in 13th place and just avoided relegation, he was a crucial member of the team. Veiga has only been used as a substitute in a brilliant young Spanish side, but there are still hints of his potential on exhibit while he is now overseas with the Spanish national team competing in the Under 21 Euros.
The 21-year-old is reportedly Pep Guardiola’s number one admirer and is seen as a player who can help with the loss of ilkay Gündoan. The player has also been connected to PSG.
