If you’ve ever experienced heartbreak, you may find yourself wondering why it hurts when there are so many other people in the world.
Even if no one knows why it hurts so bad, there are things you can do to lessen the discomfort.
- Cry: Do not act as though you are the toughest person alive; you will inevitably suffer harm if you are human and possess feelings. Even Jesus sobbed when he experienced heartbreak. Don’t have too much resentment inside of you and be filled with hatred. Crying is a sign of being human, not a show of weakness. If you don’t want to cry in front of your pals, just find a quiet place to do it; I promise it will help a little.
- Don’t be alone: The next thing you might be tempted to do after experiencing heartbreak is lock yourself inside and keep everyone out. Not at all. It’s a suicide mission; come out of your room after you’ve sobbed for a bit, watch the sunset, wander through the neighborhood, hang out with pals, and purchase some kebab. Although it won’t eliminate the pain right away, it will lessen it somewhat.
- Hang out with friends and family: You might go watch a movie at the theater or a drama on Netflix with your buddies, or you could go out to dinner with your group of friends. They might make fun of you or sympathize with you, but you won’t feel sorry for yourself since you’ll be having fun instead.
- Talk about your pain: Don’t allow anyone make you feel like what happened to you isn’t that painful or severe and that you have to get over it quickly. We’re all different and heal differently. Even if it’s in your diary, just talk about it, write it down, and let it out. A problem shared is a problem half solved, therefore talking about it will only aid in the healing process. So, go ahead and be honest. If you don’t trust people, acquire a journal and start writing. You may even write in a safe place on your phone.
- Don’t have rebound Sex: It’s ok to establish new acquaintances after you’ve taken some time to recuperate. Getting involved with someone you are not interested in just to take your mind off your suffering is not acceptable. Remember that heartbreaks are not pleasant; you felt the anguish when someone did it to you; if you want to harm someone else, you’ll just wind up hurting them as well. Prior to returning to the dating environment, give yourself time to recuperate completely. It will be wrong to deny oneself the chance to meet new people, but it will also be wrong to jump into another relationship right away when one ends.
No matter what happens always remember, when someone comes into your life they are a blessing when they leave they are meant to be a lesson. So are you going to cry over a lesson? or be wiser and move on to the next phase of your life?
