John Dumelo, a former actor who is now a politician, lost his mother.
The multidimensional actor said on Facebook that his mother, Mrs. Antoinette Ama Ampomah Dumelo, has passed away. The event happened on Tuesday, August 15.
In January 2023, the late Mrs. Ampomah Dumelo turned 71.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) leadership recently supported Dumelo to run in the general elections of 2024 in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency.
The other two candidates agreed to withdraw from the contest so that Mr. Dumelo could represent the NDC in the elections held the following year, according to a statement released by the party and signed by the constituency chairman, Bismark Aborbi-Ayitey.
On August 8, one of the candidates, Fred Nuamah, announced his withdrawal from the campaign and vowed his unwavering support for Mr. Dumelo.
The party also urged members of the general public and NDC supporters to back Mr. Dumelo in his bid to unseat the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 elections.
