In a transaction worth up to €21 million, Al-Hilal has finalised the acquisition of Sevilla goalkeeper Bono.
The Moroccan joins the now-star-studded team this week, following Neymar, and departs Sevilla after four years with the organization.
For the 2019–20 season, Bono was on loan at Sevilla from Girona before completing the switch permanently in the summer of 2020.
He played 143 times for the team throughout his tenure there, notching a goal along the way, and he also won two Europa League championships. He played a crucial role in the record champions’ victory over Roma in the penalty shootout in June of this year.
Bono has 54 international appearances for his country and was a key member of their incredible 2020 World Cup journey to the semifinals.
