Brighton scout Caicedo replacement as they reject Chelsea’s £80mil bid

If Moises Caicedo a player coveted by Chelsea leaves this summer, Brighton will have a replacement in mind, according to Roberto De Zerbi.
The Blues have already made three offers to the Ecuadorian international, with the most recent being for £80 million.

However, Brighton has remained steadfast in its assessment of £100 million, or at least they want England U21 Levi Colwill in exchange.

Colwill is not up for sale, according to Chelsea, and Mauricio Pochettino believes the 20-year-old will go on to become one of England’s best center-backs.

Given Brighton’s lack of selling pressure, it is unclear if Chelsea will raise their bid for Pochettino’s top target.

The club has already gotten the most money out of its best possessions, allowing Marc Cucurella to transfer to Stamford Bridge for £62 million last year.

Nevertheless, due to the effectiveness of their hiring procedure, De Zerbi has already found a replacement.

“If Caicedo leaves, we need another big important midfielder,”

“Yes, I have a specific player in mind to replace him, but I don’t want to tell you his name.”
