Man United announces Eric Bailly’s departure

Eric Bailly, the Manchester United defender, has made a significant departure by joining Besiktas. This move marks the end of his seven-year stint at Old Trafford.

Notably, he was the first signing made by former manager José Mourinho during his tenure at the club. After spending the previous season on loan at Marseille, Bailly has now sealed a permanent exit from Manchester United.

Throughout his time at the club, the Ivorian made a total of 113 appearances and achieved remarkable success, including winning the Europa League, EFL Cup, and Community Shield.

However, as the years passed, Bailly gradually slipped down the team’s pecking order, and his competitive appearances ceased in late 2021.

This transfer signifies a new chapter in Eric Bailly’s career as he seeks fresh opportunities and challenges with Besiktas, bidding farewell to his long-standing association with Manchester United.
