Al-Hilal have improved their offer after having their initial offer of €30 million for Marco Verratti rejected by Paris Saint-Germain in July.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Saudi Pro League giants have increased their initial offer by 50%, bringing it to €45 million, in an effort to land another marquee midfielder.
The Saudis may not reach the necessary agreement with PSG, despite receiving the player’s approval a fortnight ago, as Les Parisiens continue to demand a hefty €80 million asking price.

Verratti has decided to join Al-Hilal after being offered triple the salary he is now earning at Parc des Princes to end his long-standing relationship with the all-time Ligue 1 winners.

The Italy international’s net annual salary in France is €14m, meaning the loaded Saudi outfit are willing to hand him a mind-blowing €42m-a-year contract to move to Riyadh.
