Prior to completing his move from Chelsea to AC Milan, Christian Pulisic has arrived in Italy.
After turning down a counteroffer from Lyon, the San Siro club is prepared to spend £20 million for the American winger, with some of that sum coming in add-ons.
Despite Lyon first making an improved offer to the Blues, Pulisic had made it obvious behind the scenes that he wanted to transfer to Milan with just one year remaining on his Chelsea deal.
He shot a little video on Wednesday morning after landing at the city’s Malpensa Airport.
“Hello, AC Milan fans. I just got here in Milan,” he stated.
“I’m so happy to be here and I can’t wait to get going.”
The 24-year-old Pulisic is scheduled to arrive at Milan’s training facility right away to have a physical before agreeing to a long-term deal with the Serie A club.
The transfer will be only the most recent in a string of sales by Chelsea this summer, with Romelu Lukaku also expected to leave for Milan.
