Jérémy Doku, a 21-year-old winger for Stade Rennais, has signed to personal terms with Manchester City, according to Foot Mercato.
Doku is on Manchester City’s shortlist to take Riyad Mahrez’s place after he left earlier this summer to play in the Saudi first division. Michael Olise of Crystal Palace was also on that shortlist, but Chelsea have already activated his release clause, and a transfer to Stamford Bridge is likely.
Bradley Barcola of Olympique Lyonnais is another name on the list, but the Cityzens are currently taking actual action to sign Doku. According to Foot Mercato, a five-year contract has been agreed upon both the player and Manchester City. Doku wants to transfer to the Etihad Stadium, and Rennes and City will soon begin negotiations.
