Mohammed Kudus, a Ghanaian midfielder, was noticed playing with a different shirt number during Ajax Amsterdam’s preseason victory.

Mohammed’s shirt now bears the number “7” on the back, a change from the jersey number 20 he wore while playing for the Dutch giant.

Steven Bergwijn, a Dutch attacker who had previously played for Tottenham Hotspurs in the English Premier League, wore the number “7” for Ajax last season.

To start off their preseason schedule, Ajax defeated Shaktar Donetsk 3-0 thanks to goals from Kudus and Steven Bergwijn.

Kudus, a former member of FC Nordsjaelland, converted a penalty kick attempt to score the game’s opening goal in the 18th minute.

Several English Premier League teams, including Brighton & Hove Albion, Liverpool, and Everton, are rumored to be interested in signing Mohammed.
