An inquiry into the cause of death of Bonzie Kelvin, a final-year student at the Ofori Panin Senior High School (OPASS), has been launched by police in Koforidua.

On Wednesday night, a bystander promptly raised an alarm outside the Koforidua Technical University after spotting 19-year-old Kelvin in a pool of blood with many knife wounds and gasping for air.

He was sent right away to the Effiduase St. Joseph Hospital, where he passed away on July 13, 2023, early on a Thursday morning.

The young guy requested permission from the school administration to attend his sister’s wedding over the weekend, according to checks from close relatives.

In order to prepare with his classmates for the impending West Africa Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), he was scheduled to return to school.

But it’s not clear what could have led to his demise.

The Adweso Command personnel who were informed have already started an inquiry to find the suspects.
