Stonebwoy joins the ‘Golden Club’ after receiving over 100 million streams on Boomplay Music.

Afrobeats and dancehall musician Stonebwoy, who is well-known worldwide, has officially joined the exclusive Boomplay Golden Club after hitting the remarkable mark of over 100 million listens on Africa’s biggest music streaming and download platform.
The Boomplay Golden Club is a select group of musicians who have excelled at streaming heavily on the service. Stonebwoy joins the ranks of other African music legends who have surpassed the 100 million stream threshold, including Tanzania’s Diamond Platinumz and Rayvanny, as well as Nigeria’s Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, Fireboy DML, Joeboy, and Omah Lay.

The achievement comes a few weeks after his fifth studio album, “5Th Dimension,” was released by DefJam Recordings and Universal Music Group. On Boomplay, the album has received more than 20 million streams.

The accomplishment of over 100 million career streams on Boomplay demonstrates Stonebwoy’s broad appeal. Additionally, it reinforces Stonebwoy’s position as one of Africa’s most renowned and influential musicians, who helped bring Afro dancehall into the mainstream. The groundbreaking “5th Dimension” album by Stonebwoy is now on tour in North America and Canada in celebration of its groundbreaking debut at No. 8 on the Billboard Reggae Album Chart.

From July 15 to August, he will embark on a 12-date tour known as the “5Th Dimension” that will take him from his native Ghana to North America, showcasing his lively and vivacious performances to audiences there as well as his contagious enthusiasm and musical talent. Later this year, he will also go to Europe for a brief UK tour that includes performances at Manchester’s Canvas on October 26, Birmingham’s O2 Academy 2, and London’s Electric Brixton on October 29.

On the road, Stonebwoy will be promoting his “5Th Dimension” record, which includes “Manodzi” (which features multi-GRAMMY award-winner Angelique Lidjo), “Life & Money” (which features English rap heavyweight Stormzy), and “Into The Future”.
