At the 10th anniversary of this year’s Youth Xplo event, which was put on by the youth of Bethany Methodist Church, gospel legends Daughters of Glorious Jesus energized the crowd.

The Church Hall’s roof collapsed on Saturday, July 15, 2023 as a result of their mighty prayers, leaving the audience begging for more.
The young Xplo event, which has a prison evangelism focus, demonstrates the young of the church’s unshakeable faith in the transforming power of love, forgiveness, and redemption.

The planning committee’s chairman, Mr. Raymond Richard Bainson, stated that they had seen many examples of hope coming from the despair of jail. Broken lives have been rebuilt with newfound purpose and faith by reaching out to individuals marginalized by society in prisons like Ankaful, Nsawam, Akuse, and the Bostal Home.
Daughters of Glorious Jesus, the evening’s headliners, graced the stage with a superb live band performance of their classic hits, including “Bebre,” “Nea Y3 Huyi,” and “Mebo Wo Din Daa,” among others. They related tales from their early years in Kumasi, in the Ashanti Region, where they lived and started singing, in addition to their exciting musical journey.

The Voices of Praise from the Presbyterian Church in Abelenkpe, Accra, opened the night of music with a calming performance before the famed trio hit the stage, setting the mood for an evening of dance and praise. They transported the audience back in time with their renditions of classic gospel tunes, including as the well-known “Obatanpa Wayayie nie” by gospel all-stars and songs by Yaw Sarpong.
The Bethany Jewels, a group from the Dzorwulu Bethany Methodist Church, then took the stage and performed a stirring sermon, performing their own versions of the hit songs “Way3 me yie” by Piesie Esther and “Aseda” by Nacee, which have become anthems for the country.

Yahwehson, a solo gospel performer, infused his sermon with a reggae flavor and mesmerized the audience with his distinctive flair. He finished his performance to great applause and cheers before leading the audience in a stirring time of prayer.

There was no letdown with The Emerald of Praise. Customers were on their feet dancing the night away thanks to their outstanding performance.

The Bethany Methodist Church’s youth organize The Youth Xplo every year with the intention of winning souls to Christ via evangelism and song. This year’s event represented a key turning point as they commemorated ten years of effective ministry and reaching out to those in need with the message of love and redemption.
