Guinness Ghana DJ Awards, the biggest DJ competition in Africa, will debut their 11th edition on Friday, August 18 at MultiChoice Ghana in Abelenkpe, Accra.
The much-anticipated categories for this year’s awards, the theme, the impending Pubfest, and more will be showcased at the event, according to the long-running industry event’s organizers, Merqury Republic Africa.
The event, which will be headlined by Guinness Ghana, the largest total beverage company in Ghana, is set to solidify its position as a cornerstone for the promotion of DJing in Ghana.
The innovative regional roadshow “The Pubfest,” powered by Smirnoff, which is intended to spark excitement across the nation, continues to be a major highlight of the event this year.
By recognising the injection of new energy and originality, a reflection of the dynamic music scene and the different interests of the audience, the launch event will also highlight the inventiveness and ingenuity within the world of DJs.
The Guinness Ghana DJ Awards, powered by Smirnoff, have as their main goal to empower and honor dedicated DJs who have made major contributions to the development of the entertainment sector in Ghana and beyond. The launch will also signal the start of a number of initiatives building up to the awards presentation.
A variety of well-known showbiz celebrities, including DJs and Guinness Ghana reps, are expected to attend the event.
