HAKIM ZIYECH’S AL NASSR MOVE IN DOUBT AFTER KNEE ISSUE DETECTED

Foot Mercato are reporting that Hakim Ziyech’s (30) move from Chelsea to Al Nassr is in doubt following the detection of a knee injury during his medical.

Chelsea are looking to offload a large portion of their squad this summer, ideally before the end of June. Many players have already left. Mateo Kovacic has joined Manchester City, Kai Havertz has joined Arsenal whilst Mason Mount now looks set to sign with Manchester United.
Kalidou Koulibaly and Édouard Mendy have also left for Saudi Arabia and Ziyech looked like following them.

However, his move to Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr looks to have hit a snag. According to Foot Mercato, a knee problem has been identified during his medical. The same issue was evident during a medical ahead of his failed loan move to Paris Saint-Germain in January. The discovery of the issue necessitated further tests, although Ziyech’s move ultimately broke down due to bureaucratic errors on Chelsea’s side.

In the wake of the discovery, Al Nassr now have doubts about signing the player, whose contract with Chelsea runs until the summer of 2025.
