PSG to back out of Dembele move if not completed in 24 hours

After Paris Saint-Germain indicated they intended to trigger Ousmane Dembele’s €50 million release clause at the end of last month, the 26-year-old has been expected to leave Barcelona for the past two weeks.

However, a contract has not yet been finalized because Barcelona must still work out the details. PSG is really frustrated by this because they were counting on Dembele to be ready for the start of the new Ligue 1 season, which begins this weekend.

According to MD, PSG is thinking of ending the Dembele project, which would allow him to finish the current season at Barcelona. Instead, when his contract in Catalonia expires next summer, the French champs will sign him for free.

The entire Dembele saga has been difficult to follow, and there seem to be many more twists in store for the future. Barcelona might no longer receive these crucial cash, which would be a setback for their efforts to add a new right back before the transfer window closes.
