Once again, the transformative initiative by Verna Purified Drinking Water, under the Twellium Foundation, has addressed the struggles of a vulnerable individual on the streets of Accra.

Gladys Blessings Podjer, a physically challenged single parent of two, spent thirteen years street hawking to support her family. Through the Verna Changing Lives Campaign’s “Accra Turning Point” edition at Rawlings Park on August 23, 2023, Gladys was granted a cash sum of Five Thousand Cedis (GHS 5000) to fulfill her aspiration of becoming a fashion designer and leave street life behind. Part of the money will be used for rent, and she expressed deep gratitude to Verna for their support.

This Corporate Social Responsibility project aims to promptly address challenges faced by those on Accra’s streets, improving their lives. Gladys is the third beneficiary of this initiative, joining Madam Lydia Korkoi Armah and Lorraine Obeng, who each received GHS 5000.

Broadcasting via 3FM 92.7 MHz and TV3, this life-changing project, spanning 12 weeks, will keep audiences informed.
